3. Changes happened
Since the arrival of the HSR to Alicante, the quality of public spaces and shops in the station
has been notably improved.
Apart from the actions implemented at the station and the re-distribution of its spaces, the
surroundings have changed and are still changing. One of the examples can be found on the first
block in front of the train station. Since 2013, when HSR arrives to Alicante, new stores have
been opened and others have been upgraded. The most relevant change has been the opening
of new car rental offices. All these changes are visually explained on the following figures and
table.
