Currently the section between Plaza España and Martorell Enllaç of Llobregat-Anoia line of FGC, it is in service as a system Signalling and Train Protection, FAP. This project aims to install on this system, the ERTMS/ETCS Level-1 to achieve an improvement in the control and supervision of the trains. Therefore, the FAP system does not go away, but remains a backup. We will use the different rail that now exist, and will be installed the necessary equipment for the operation of ERTMS/ETCS Level 1. All this with minimal interference in daily train service without substantial modifications to existing facilities.
