This paper conducts an analysis of the kinematics involved during the passage of trains speed restrictions. We develop a general expression for calculating the time for different train types, taking into account the slope of the sections.

 

A comparison with the Technical Standard ADIF for use in model validation and quantification of the acceleration and deceleration values for the majority of trains as well as for various speeds.
