This paper presents a tool for converting volumes of demand for goods in units of supply, offering other outcomes such as energy consumption and associated operating costs. It shows a case example made with the tool, in which for an annual load of different products, it is estimated the number of wagons and trains necessary and also it considers the sensitivity to various parameters of the infrastructure and traction.
