The aim of this paper is to provide the development of a brake testing system in marshalling of freight wagons. A new system has been developed, which can be coupled in parallel to the brake system of any locomotive with a control system in order to perform the assay.

 

Therefore, a single operator or the train driver himself, with the help of a portable mobile unit may act on the knob locomotive brake remotely while reviewing the various leak phases such as: fastening and loosening the brake as it travels the composition of coupled wagons.
